After a lapse in her relationship with her girlfriend,
Samantha (Najarra Townsend) is forced to move back in with her overbearing
mother (Caroline Williams). Her life
gets worse when she is drugged (at a friend’s party) and she has sex with a man
known as BJ. She wakes up the next day
as she soon come to realize she got a very deadly sexually transmitted disease
that is transforming her as she tries to hide it from everyone around her.
CONTRACTED is a very raw and unnerving horror
film about
transformation and biological horror.
Najarra Townsend is interesting as Samantha as she makes you feel the
changes she is going through and how it is effecting the character
emotionally. I don’t want to tell you
what exactly the STD is turning her into because it gives up a big twist in the
film. Writer/ Director Eric England has
crafted an unsettling low budget horror movie that will leave you a little
haunted and unnerved after you watch it.

film on a low budget in 15 days in addition to interviews with cast and crew
The Najarra Townsend Audition shows you her first
audition
and her callback which shows how she really nailed the role.
Also on the disc is the animated pitch for CONTRACTED
when
the director thought he was going to have to crowd fund the movie, a quick 90
second behind-the-scenes promo, the theatrical trailer, and previews for other
releases from IFC.
