Bill (Liam Nesson) is an alcoholic Air Marshall
who
overworks himself to drown out painful memories from the past. On the flight
to London,
he receives a text message on his secure network from someone threatening to
kill someone on the plane every twenty minutes unless $150 million is
paid. He must find out who is trying to
kill people and frame him before it is too late. NON-STOP is the latest
in the action film
comfort food genre as Liam Nesson is in top form in action hero mode. It is
one of those great action film rentals
great to see once as it might lose its entertainment value on repeat viewings
as you know all of the twists and see Julianne Moore make the most out of a
role (but she might have just wanted to work with Liam Nesson). NON-STOP
is a better film than TAKEN 2, but
it is nowhere near as iconic as TAKEN or THE GREY
when it comes to recent Liam Nesson films.
SPECIAL FEATURES:
NON-STOP ACTION- how they created the action
sequences in a
tight airplane set
SUSPENSE AT 40,000 FEET- a promotional featurette
as the
cast talk about the movie and the working style of the director. Watch
these two featurettes after the movie
since they give major spoilers.
FINAL ANALYSIS:
Liam
Nesson provides another form of comfort food for action movie fans with
NON-STOP, a great thriller to watch once as a good rental.
