Louis Hicks, an investigative reporter, who drinks too much and has marriage problems.   His girlfriend ends up murdered on the day she breaks up with him and he discovers the body.   He chases the killer and looses him.  His only clue is a book that the killer accidentally leaves behind.  Louis decides to investigate this serial killer before he kills the next two people in his journal.  The cops don't believe him and he doesn't tell them enough of what he is doing.

TICKING CLOCK is a film that sometimes moves at a ticking pace with a aneat twist.  I just can't agree on the ending.  It is the typoe of thing that makes me hate other films.   Everything is good until they deliver a whimper of an ending.   Neal McDonough steals the show as the serial killer who can litterally disappear and appear any time he wants while Cuba Gooding Jr. seems to be like phoning in his performance at times.   I know everyone needs a paycheck, but McDonough is teh winner in this direct to DVD film.  TICKING CLOCK is good for a nightly rental.
