Victor Maynard
(Bill Nighy) is a mid-50s hit man who wants to retire. He learns French on the way to his hits and in-between. He
has an over-bearing mother who wants a kid to care on the trade after Victor is gone. Victor's life turns
upside down when he can't bring himself to kill his latest target, Rose (Emily Blunt, a thief who ripped off the wrong gangster
after selling him a forged Rembrandt painting. Victor takes under Tony (Rupert Grint) under his wing. The three
end up on a amusing journey in this comedy about three people who find each other while trying to survive the gangster
and the second best hit man who has been hired to take out Rose and victor.
WILD TARGET is an amusing comedy. It brings
a few chuckles. It's not the top of the list for British comedy, but it is worth it for a ninety minute time waster.
Bill Nighy stretches his comedic skills while Emily Blunt is just charming (and beautiful). NIghy and Blunt
exhibit a nice chemistry as Nighy comes out of his isolated shell and falls for Blunt's character.

Sadly, the only extra is a three and half minute interview
with Emily Blunt (besides trailers for other Fox DVD releases).
FINAL
ANALYSIS: WILD TARGET is an amusing comedy which is good to watch on a rainy day. Nighy and Blunt exhibit good
chemistry while I wish the DVD had more extras.
