ANT-MAN is a fun heist
movie set against the backdrop of the marvel universe. Dr. Hank Pym (Michael
Douglas) recruits master
thief Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) to be the next Ant-Man and be armed with the
ability to shrink himself in scale that comes with increased strength. The job
is to steal a piece of technology
like Pym’s Ant-Man to prevent it from
falling into the wrong hands. A grand
heist is planned (with the help of Pym’s daughter Hope van Dyne (Evangeline
Lily) and Lang’s crew) and not everything will come off as planned as Scott
Lang is trying to be a hero and protect the ones he loves. ANT-MAN
does have a better script than the first two THOR
movies, but it doesn’t have the charm of GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY or the awesome
of the first AVENGERS. I would be happy
to see what the sequel will bring even though ANT-MAN
doesn’t pop into my head as the must-see Marvel movie and yet I wonder what
director Edgar Wright would have done with this movie after years of
development only to exit due to creative differences with Marvel.

FINAL ANALYSIS: ANT-MAN
is enjoyable with some good extras even though I wish the extras were more extensive.
I will watch the sequel even though ANT-MAN
doesn’t excite like some of the other Marvel movies
