Three years after the events of JURASSIC WORLD, Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard) convinces Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) to
go back to Isla Nublar (which is experiencing increased volcanic activity) in a mission to rescue some of the dinosaurs that
were left on the island when Jurassic World was closed (after the US Senate votes not to rescue the dinosaurs and save them
from extinction). Not everything is on the up because one of the people backing the rescue operation has his own plans which
include auctioning off the dinosaurs to various rich people and companies. They also want Blue, the Velociraptor that Owen
trained years ago, for their own DNA experiments to create the next generation of military trained dinosaurs.
If you liked the first JURASSIC WORLD, you will enjoy the sequel- JURASSIC WORLD: FALLEN KINGDOM. The real question
is how they can wrap the new trilogy up with the third film. I do think it would be helped if Jeff Goldblum is in it more
than the two scenes he got as Ian Malcolm in this sequel. The plot does mirror the structure of THE LOST WORLD with how
the movie is divided between Isla Nublar and California. I do wish they spent more time on the island of Ilsa Nublar as
the volcanic eruption threatens to destroy it (because I feel the part leading up to the rescue operation and the operation
itself is where the sequel soars). The movie is OK after they get off the island and get back to the mainland (but it is
all a set up for what is to come in the third movie). I also hope the third movie curse doesn't strike and the third JURASSIC
WORLD is meh like JURASSIC PARK 3.
