INSIDIOUS is an engaging horror series. The first two chapters are a straight forward series where INSIDIOUS CHAPTER 3 and INSIDIOUS: THE LAST KEY are prequels to the first two movies. INSIDIOUS: THE LAST KEY is a sequel to INSIDIOUS CHAPTER 3 and the movie bridges into the first INSIDIOUS movie. THE LAST KEY focuses more on the back story of Elise while using a further trip into the otherworldy Further as a pretext. A new monster known as the Key Monster is the new threat that wants to bring all of the bad things through from the further and tried to use Elise to open the doors with keys in her mind (when she was a child). A new job sends Elise and her two co-workers back to her childhood home where the current owner is being troubled by the Further. She is forced to face her childhood and the brother she left behind.

SPECIAL FEATURES:
Eight deleted scenes and an alternate ending contain some interesting alternate twists for the third act and some interesting material cut from the final cut which I would have loved to have seen in the final cut of this film

FINAL ANALYSIS: INSIDIOUS: THE LAST KEY has provided a new piece in the engaging INSIDIOUS saga by looking the history of Elise and bringing the series full circle. If you loved the previous INSIDIOUS movies, you will be sucked into the world of the Further one more time. I hope it isn't the end of the INSIDIOUS franchise, but I hope they come up with a good next chapter when the next movie is made.
