The second half of the first season of OUTLANDER
picks up a
little before the cliffhanger of episode 8 to show things from Jamie’s point of
view and second half of the first season is a roller coaster of action,
adventure, drama, and romance woven with history and detail. Jamie (Sam
Heughan) and Claire (Caitriona
Balfe) settle into married life after Claire’s rescue from Captain “Blackjack”
Randall, but their married bliss is interrupted by the British and others as
Captain Randall is out to find Jamie again.
Dian Gabaldon’s OUTLANDER continues to be realized in this beautiful TV
adaptation for Starz as it weaves history with fiction. I can’t wait for
season 2 which premieres
somewhere in 2016.

FINAL ANALYSIS: Too bad it will be a while before
season 2
hits blu-ray because season 1 is a thrilling romantic adventure where everyone
will find something to enjoy in OUTLANDER whether it is the romance, history,
drama, or action. The extras are good
and even the extended version of THE RECKONING.
