Frank Martin’s dad (Ray Stevenson) has
moved to France
to be closer to Frank (Ed Skrein).
Frank’s job as the transporter is put into a bind when a group of four
Russian prostitutes kidnap Frank’s dad.
He must help the girls rip off the Russian mobsters of their money for
selling the girls into a life of prostitution, but it is more complicated when
one of the mobsters is someone who Frank knows from his past.
THE TRANSPORTER REFUELED is an interesting way
to reboot THE
TRANSPORTER franchise and Ed Skrein provides a different take on Frank Martin
which is better than the way another actor play Frank in the TV series. I do
miss the way Jason Statham does the
action in the first three TRANSPORTER movies, but supposedly they didn’t want
to pay Jason enough for him to return to do three more movies and they decided
to take the character in a different direction played by a different actor by
making him more human and less cartoonish.
The new movie does have plenty of action, car stunts, and beautiful
women to please fans of action movies and the TRANSPORTER franchise despite some
fans missing Jason Statham.
SPECIAL FEATURES:

FINAL ANALYSIS: THE TRANSPORTER REFUELED is a decent start at rebooting the series
without Statham as Ed Skrein plays Frank better than his TV counterpart (Chris
Vance) while the writing offers a more human version of Frank Martin.
