Screenwriter Rick (Christian Bale) wanders looking
for love
as his life wanders as he searches for love through six women including ex-wife
Nancy (Cate Blanchett), model Helen (Freida Pinto), Isabel (Isabel Lucas), married
woman Elizabeth (Natalie Portman), stripper Karen (Teresa Palmer), and Della
(Imogen Poots). KNIGHT OF CUPS is
another stream of consciousness movie from writer/ director Terrence Malick as
he uses the improve poetry to examine love and life. Sometimes the movie is
interesting and
reflective whether at other times it is a frustrating movie to watch due to its
non-linear and unconventional narrative structure. The cinematography
of Emmanuel “Chivo”
Lubezki is beautiful along with a great score from composer Hanan Townshend.
