Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds) is a merc for hire
who is a bad
guy who goes after worse bad guys. He
meets the love of his life, Vanessa (Morena Baccarin) and he has a short time of
peace with her until he is diagnosed with cancer. He takes a secret program
up on their offer
to cure him of his cancer, but it leaves him scarred all over his body with the
ability to heal any wound. He takes up
the name of Deadpool and makes a red spandex costume so he can go after Francis
(the bad guy who put Wade into this situation) thinking that Francis can cure
his outside skin condition, but things become more complicated when someone
close to him is kidnapped by Francis and he has to ask for help from two X-Men.
DEADPOOL is a funny action send-up on superhero
movies as
Deadpool is quite the anti-hero who sometimes does the right thing while also
talking to the audience (he even says hi to Rob Liefeld (co-creator of the
Deadpool character who has a cameo in two scenes) in a bar). You can even
spot a few winks to the marvel
and Deadpool continuity like the SHIELD helicarrier in a junkyard and Hydra Bob
(who is just known as Bob in the movie).
It is full of humor, language, and violence. This is definitely not a
movie for the
kids. Stay for the scene at the end of
the end credits as he teases who will hopefully be in the sequel (but I hope
they get Hugh Jackman to reprise his part as Wolvernie and have the character
make an appearance even though Hugh says Wolverine 3 will be his last time as
the character). The beginning credits
are a wonderful parody of title credit sequences. DEADPOOL is one of my favorite
movies of 2016
and I can’t wait for the sequel. If you’re a fan of marvel movies or even films
like KICK-ASS or KINGSMAN, you shouldn’t miss seeing DEADPOOL.

DEADPOOL’S FUN SACK is a
collection of photo stills and various promos and theatrical trailers that
first appeared on the internet. The only
thing missing from the video collection are the TV spots, the recent internet
videos since the movie came out in theaters, and the funny blu-ray TV promos.
FINAL ANLYSIS: DEADPOOL
is one of the best funny action superhero movies I have seen. Ryan Reynolds was
born to play Deadpool and I can’t wait for the sequel. It is great to
watch this movie on a second viewing- I enjoyed as much as I did the
first time. The extras are great on the blu-ray, but they have left out a few
extras which makes me think 20th Century Fox will double dip this
for an unrated cut of DEADPOOL.
