A new zombie outbreak has fallen upon 19th
century England
in this reimiganing of the Jane Austen tale.
The Bennet family wants to make sure the daughters marry well after Mr.
Bennet passes away since females can’t inherit property. The Bennet siusters
have been traine din the Shaolin martial arts and they’re ready to kick zombie
butt if another zombie outbreak overtakes England.
Liz Bennet (Lily James) doesn’t want to marry to give up her right to wield a
sword to fight zombies. Colonel Darcy
(Sam Riley) is very stand-offish and he is soon smitten with Liz’s cold
attitude while someone is directing this new outbreak.
PRIDE + PREJUDICE + ZOMBIES is an interesting
take on the
Jane Austen tale which sometimes has nothing to do with the source material
while providing some action, sexy women fighting, and some humor like the
sisters taking turns carrying rifles.
Matt Smith seems a little out of place as Pastor Collins (and he seems
best playing The Doctor or a bad guy). It
has plenty of great action sequences, some
funny moments like the Bennet sisters taking turns carry rifles, and some gorgeous
costume design.

FINAL ANALYSIS: PRIDE
+ PREJUDICE + ZOMBIES delivers a fresh action filled take on the Jane Austen
classic with plenty of zombie fighting.
The deleted scenes are the best extra and worth checking out.
