ATTRACTION 2: INVASION is the sequel to the Russian sci-fi movie ATTRACTION.
Three years after the events of Attraction. Julia (Irina Starshenbaum), who was saved from death with the help of extraterrestrial
technologies, has unusual abilities now. The girl has become the object of the research conducted in secret laboratories of
the Ministry of defense. Julia's new abilities attract not only people on Earth, but they are becoming a threat to extraterrestrial
civilizations - because of that the Earth is threatened with invasion. The alien Hakon (who loves Julia) comes back to Earth
two years later to save her from the alien race that wants to destroy her. Technology is used against Julia and manipulated
to make her seem like a terrorist threat. Hakon races to save Julia along with help from Julia's fellow classmate Google and
her ex-boyfriend Artyom. Her father, Lieutenant General Valentin Lebedev, is ahead of the new Extraterrestrial Threat Prevention
Unit and he finds his job in fighting the aliens is challenging when our own technology is being used against them.
ATTRACTION 2: INVASION is a good continuation of the story started in ATTRACTION as the characters drive the story with
wonderful special effects too. It is an impressive Russian sci-fi movie made on the fraction of the budget of a Hollywood
sci-fi blockbuster. If you're looking for new blockbuster sci-fi when it is being slowed down by the pandemic and movies
being pushed back, ATTRACTION and ATTRACTION 2 aren't a bad duo of movies to watch.
SPECIAL FEATURES:
Promo featurette that features interviews with cast and crew with behind-the-scenes footage and clips. The director considers
this movie to be a continuation and not a sequel.
Trailers and teasers for ATTRACTION 2: INVASION and previews for ATTRACTION and COMA
FINAL ANALYSIS: IF you liked the first ATTRACTION, you will want to pick up ATTRACTION 2: INVASION. If you haven't seen
either, I would recommend you get both if you need some new sci-fi to watch during these COVID times.
