I loved BILL AND TED'S EXCELLENT ADVENTURE when it first came out and continue to love it and the first sequel, BILL AND TED'S
BOGUS JOURNEY. However, the long awaited third movie, BILL AND TED FACE THE MUSIC is a mixed bag as some will question if
the series needed a third movie at all and if this was the best they could have done. There are many possible timelines for
a third BILL & TED movie where it was worse, it was better, or it was never made at all. For everything the third movie
gets right, there are things that stop the movie dead in its tracks and sometimes it feels like a work of improv compared
to the writing genius of the first two movies. Also I feel like they really don't give Bill (Alex Winter) and Ted (Keanu
Reeves) enough to do in this movie as they split the screen time with their daughters (Billie and Thea) as Bill and Ted must
perform the song to save all reality in less than 90 minutes before reality completely unravels for good. Meanwhile the daughters
of Bill and Ted travel in time to get great musicians from across history including Jimi Hendrix, Mozart, Louis Armstrong,
and Kid Cudi (who is time misplaced for some reason). Then I do feel the rock and roll soundtrack is very disappointing compared
to the use of rock tracks in the first two movies. In the end, sometimes BILL AND TED FACE THE MUSIC feels like a tired reunion
tour getting the band together with new musicians to back them.

FINAL ANALYSIS: BILL AND TED FACE THE MUSIC is a mixed bag where some fans will want to own it while other I say rent
it first to decide whether you want to own it.
