DOCTOR WHO was seeing success in the UK where the DOCTOR WHO AND THE DALEKS movie enjoyed enough success to greenlight a sequel
called DALEKS' INVASION EARTH 2150 AD. The sets, production design, and streamlined story make this a somewhat faithful
adaptation of the original DOCTOR WHO serial it is based on. Also the movie looks like a bigger budget color version of the
TV serial too.
The TARDIS visits the future after they rescue a policeman who thinks he is going to be using a police box to make a call.
The Doctor, his granddaughter Susan, his niece, and the cop soon find themselves separated and up against the Daleks who
have invaded the Earth in 2150 AD. They try to reunited and find the Daleks have a sinister plan involving the mining of
the Earth's core. Taking out some of the plotlines that pad the TV serial by Terry Nation helps pace up this color adaptation.
Then the movie's budget is bigger than the shoestring budget of the BBC serial which also helps out. They did have plans
for a third DOCTOR WHO movie, but it never came to be.

FINAL ANALYSIS: I do think DALEKS INVASION EARTH 2150 A.D. is the better of the two DOCTOR WHO movies despite all of
the changes. It is great to see these two movies on blu-ray.
