STAR TREK: PICARD is a new take on Jean Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart) as it takes place years after STAR TREK: NEMESIS where
Picard is retired and running a vineyard in France. He is approached by a mysterious young woman (with ties to his former
first officer Data) who needs his help. Picard is thrust into a conspiracy that involves androids, Romulans, and people
who used to be Borg. He gathers together a small crew and bumps into a jaded 7 of 9 (Jeri Ryan). STAR TREK: PICARD isn't
like the STAR TREK shows you have seen before from years past. It is a gritty take on the universe and a sequel to STAR TREK:
THE NEXT GENERATION. The Federation isn't the same one that Picard knows and the Romulans struggle with their own factions
since the destruction of their home world. A few familiar faces from STAR TREK: NEXT GENERATION and STAR TREK: VOAYGER show
up in addition to plenty of new characters. This new series takes place at least twenty years after STAR TREK: NEMESIS.

FINAL ANALYSIS: STAR TREK: PICARD is a wonderful and gritty new take on the STAR TREK universe. I think how the writers
of the series decided to take a risk and not to boldly go where the franchise has went before. This is a great blu-ray set
and I can't wait for season 2 to be made.
