BLOODSHOT is a mixed bag where it has a good cast only to have the script waste many of the characters with a story that has a good hour of set-up only to fall flat like you're inside a generic video game for the last 40 minutes. I like Vine Diesel in the movie, Guy Pearce is a good generic villain, Same Heughan is wasted in his role, and I wish they gave Eiza Gonzalez's character KT more to do in the movie. The big problem is I wish Sony made director David S.E. Wilson flesh out more of a script instead of relying on a generic comic book action movie based on the Bloodshot comic books from Valiant Entertainment. The climatic fight scenes look like bad video game CGI that took me out of the movie where I felt more practical stunt work would have made the climax shine more, but I wish they took more time to write a better second half of the movie instead of rushing to the finish after Ray Garrison (Vin Diesel) finds his need for revenge is a lie.

FINAL ANALYSIS- After the good first hour, the last 40 minutes of BLOODSHOT falls flat due to a poorly written third act and trying to rely more on CGI action sequences.
