Blumhouse's FANTASY ISLAND re-imagines the TV show as a horror film. Mr. Roarke (Michael Pena) makes the secret dreams of his lucky guests come true at a beautiful and remote tropical island resort. But when those fantasies start turning into nightmares, the guests are in a fight for survival as they seek to unravel the truth behind the island's power. FANTASY ISLAND is a great horror film take on the old TV show with a great cast (that includes Michael Rooker, Maggie Q, Lucy Hale, Jimmy Yang, and Portia Doubleday) and a few great twists.

SPECIAL FEATURES:
Six deleted scenes with optional audio commentary by director Jeff Wadlow as he explains why some scenes were cut for pacing and story logic reasons. The movie is presented in two versions (the PG-13 theatrical cut and the unrated cut) and there is an audio commentary with the director and cast which you can skip since it doesn't really rate as a very informative track. Also included on the disc are previews for ZOMBIELAND 2: DOUBLE TAP, MORBIUS, and GHOSTBUSTERS: AFTERLIFE.

Also included with the blu-ray is a code to stream and download a digital copy of FANTASY ISLAND

FINAL ANALYSIS: Blumhouse has provided viewers with an entertaining and intense horror movie take of the FANTASY ISLAND TV series. I wish the disc did have some featurettes even the deleted scenes are nice to be included and I wish the audio commentary was more informative. Now Sony needs to get the 1990s re-imagining of the FANTASY ISLAND TV show (starring Malcolm McDowell as Mr. Roarke) on DVD and blu-ray since the original TV show has been on DVD forever.
