MALEFICENT: MISTRESS OF EVIL is a wonderful sequel to MALEFICENT which unfortunately was besieged by bad trailers promoting it. Angelina Jolie steals the show again as Maleficent while the rest of the actors do their best to fulfill their roles (with only Michelle Pfeiffer being on equal level with Jolie. We learn more about the origins of Maleficent race and their struggles while you have a hate mongering Queen (Pfieffer) who wants to get rid of all those magical creatures (while pretending to be a loving mother-in-law to be to Aurora (Elle Fanning)). The special effects are wonderful, but they are outstanding when they are digital set extensions to help immerse the viewer in the world of the movie.

FINAL ANALYSIS: MALEFICENT: MISTRESS OF THE DARK is an excellent and entertaining sequel. I do wish the blu-ray had more extensive extras instead of the usual Disney promo fluff.
