It is sad that KYLE XY's third season is the last season of the show. ABC Family cancelled it. The cliffhanger
sets the stage for the fourth season.
The third (and final) season picks up where the cliffhanger of season 2 ended. Kyle gets entangled in the world of
Latnok and their spokesperson Michael Cassidy. Jessi moves in with the Tragers after Nicole Trager discovers that Jessi's
mom has left. The love triangle between Kyle, Jessi, and Amanda begins to grow. Kyle begins to make choices.
He is an innocent who wants to do good only to make hard choices. While the other person who grew in a pod, Jessi, has
misguided intentions while trying to do good things. Kyle's powers continue to develop and grow.
I loved the third season as KYLE XY tells a story with the type of heart that would make SMALLVILLE classic series.
The writers refer to Kyle as a superhero of the soul. He is like Superman in many ways. Kyle wants to do
good and the family that is raising him (the Tragers) are distilling him with values just like the Kents did with Superman/
Clark/ Kal-El. The first half of the episode LIFE SUPPORT is the low point of the season (only to be redeemed
by what comes after). The third season does feel too short and I do feel ABC Family cancelled the show (but they gave
it three seaons of life). Kyle is an interesting person to watch and see grow in new ways while Jessi is the one
that struggles to live up to what Kyle is (she will do anything for him). check out this wondrful series
if you haven't already starting with season one.
SPECIAL FETAURES:
KYLE XY: FUTURE REVEALED- A brief look at the show's storylines and a look at what may have been if the show had
continued.
The deleted scenes (with optional audio commentary) show several scene trimmed for pacing and because some
scenes contradicted things in the episodes.
Audio commentaries were recorded for LIFE SUPPORT and BRINGING DOWN THE HOUSE. The second commentary talks about
the next season that never came to be and what would have happened with various characters.
FINAL ANALYSIS: KYLE XY is very enjoyable in it's third and last season. I miss the show already.
