SYNOPSIS: Peter Parker (Tom Holland) turns to Doctor Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) after Mysterio leaks Peter is
Spider-Man to the world. Doctor Strange casts a spell to make most people forget, but it causes unintended consequences
as villains from other Spider-Man universes in the multiverse come to this universe. Peter races to fix it in his own way
despite warning from Strange.
ANALYSIS:
SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME is one of the best SPIDER-MAN movies that manages to wrap up the current MCU trilogy while also
honoring the other non-MCU Spider-Man movies and help set the stage for DOCTOR STRANGE: THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS. I love
the way this movie honors continuity from the Tobey McGuire and Andrew Garfield SPIDER-MAN films. The old villains from
those movies are better than before and Electro is actually pretty awesome this time, but Wilhem Dafoe every scene as the
Green Goblin. SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME manages to have an emotional heart while providing some twists and plenty of fan service.
I really want to go see this one again and I will definitely buy NO WAY HOME on 4K UHD. I hope Tom Holland is back for another
Spider-Man movie because I really want to see where they go next. The mid-credits scene is disappointing while the surprise
trailer for DOCTOR STRANGE: THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS is a nice treat that comes after the end credits of this movie (too
bad we have to wait until May instead of March for this movie). I love Tom Holland's Spider-Man and Peter Parker with this
trilogy even though I still have a soft spot for Andrew Garfield. It was nice to see the other two Spider-Man actors show
up and they provide some great humor and interaction with Holland's version of the character. The reveal of the two other
Spider-Man characters coming back was one of the world's worst kept secrets since it was leaked months ago despite denials
from Tobey McGuire and Andrew Garfield they weren't in the movie. Holland's Peter/ Spidey seems to be the most true to the
comic book character and I hope he doesn't leave the role yet (despite talk that he might be leaving the role). The movie
has some spoilers leaked for months and this movie does meet expectations while providing one of the most enjoyable MCU and
SPIDER-MAN movies ever with some really great dialogue and one liners.
I still want to see SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME again and I can't wait to buy it on 4K UHD blu-ray. It is one of the best
SPIDER-MAN movies made and the multiverse fun continues with DOCTOR STRANGE: THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS in May and SPIDER-MAN:
ACROSS THE SPIDERVERSE Part One in October.
