MAD HEIDI is a crowd funded movie in the tradition of other European crowd funded movies like IRON SKY. Like IRON SKY, MAD
HEIDI is a cult movie which has it's fans. It is a Swissploitation movie that has a grindhouse vibe that combines action,
comedy, satire, and even takes form women from prison movies. Despite whatever shortcomings, MAD HEIDI has the passion for
the project with the great production design, performances, and fun script makes up for it. The movie revolves around a young
woman named Heidi (Alice Lucy) who lives in a small Swiss Village in the Alps and she is in love with Goat Peter (who makes
goat cheese). However, Switzerland is under a dictatorship by a dictator played by Casper Van Dien and illegal cheese is
punished if it isn't the cheese the state makes. Goat Peter is captured and executed, Mad Heidi is imprisoned where she
plots to escape, and she will have her revenge when she gets out.
Just like IRON SKY, I can see myself watching MAD HEIDI again and again. I wait for the sequel that is promised at the
end. The dialogue is very quote worthy and it is over-the-top in a good way. If you can track it down via blu-ray or streaming
(or get to see it on the big screen for one night only at select theaters on June 21st), MAD HEIDI might be your next favorite
movie.

FINAL ANALYSIS: MAD HEIDI is quite fun with some very quotable lines in what is destined to be a cult film. I hope the
sequel comes soon for this crowd funded grindhouse Swiss action comedy.
