THE MARVELS is one of those movies some will like and some will hate. Then you have some Marvel fans that will hate it without ever watching this sequel to CAPTAIN MARVEL movie and the MS. MARVEL TV series. Others will refuse to watch THE MARVELS because thy think it is pushing some feminist or woke agenda and it more shows some are misogynistic. Some Marvel fans think they will have to watch WANDAVISION and MS. MARVEL to prepare for this movie, but I tell them they are wrong. The movie does at least the minimum of introducing the Ms. Marvel and Monica- the third character in the trio. Then you have some Marvel fans who are disappointed with the quality of marvel movies in the last three years. They do have a point with some of the TV and movie productions that have come out of late.

If you watched WANDA VISION and MS. MARVEL first, it will enhance your experience with these two characters. I hope THE MARVELS will have fans go seek out MS. MARVEL or even rewatch MS. MARVEL since Ms. Marvel as played by Iman Vellani steals the movie from basically everyone else in the entire movie whenever she is on the screen. The villain in the movie has a point in what she is doing even though her way of doing it is very misguided and I wish THE MARVELS developed her a little further. Does she work better than Gor in THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER? Absolutely. I really enjoyed THE MARVELS. It is a fun sci-fi adventure despite a couple of hiccups. It is essentially a high quality Marvel B movie that is also a popcorn flick that could have been a little longer. The two things that many fans of the movie (and those who didn’t like it are the musical planet (which I didn't mind) and the part of the plot where the alien cats in the third act (they do have partly a point in that I agree). I do hope this does convince Marvel and Disney to release MS. MARVEL season 1 to blu-ray in 2024 and greenlight MS. MARVEL season 2. I do feel they can hold off their two part AVENGERS movie and focus on getting a YOUNG AVENGERS movie made, THOR 5, and DR STRANGE 3 first. I think if done properly, those three movies will helps wrap up the multiverse saga to lead into it's conclusion with the two part AVENGERS movie.
