RAGING FIRE looks better from the trailers and there are Hong Kong action movies (that came before) that are better than this one. Some of RAGING FIRE does copy elements from the crime masterpiece HEAT to lesser success. It is worth noting this Hong Kong actioner may be part of a dying breed as more movies tend to go more digital with their action scenes where RAGING FIRE went practical as much as it could with the exception of green screen backgrounds during the filming of some scenes. It is a competent action movie, but I do say there are better ones that came before. It is also the last movie of director Benny Chan before he died.

FINAL ANALYSIS: RAGING FIRE is your standard Hong Kong crime action film that will entertain despite there being better ones in the genre. Some great action sequences elevate RAGING FIRE from being your standard cliché by the number HK action film. Rent it unless you're a diehard Donnie Yen or HK fan.
