Salma Hayek and Penlope Cruz wanted Luc Besson to write them a silly Western, but unfortunately despite some great action
scenes and some good actors (Sam Shephard, Steve Zahn) it is a disappointment. The audio commentary with Cruz and Hayek is
far more entertaining and a revealing look at the production of BANDIDAS. Yes, they're hoping a for a sequel. Luc Besson
has done better work than this one (LEON, THE 5TH ELEMENT, LA FEMME NIKITA,THE TRANSPORTER). The 5 minute featurette is a
basic fluff piece from Hayek and Cruz. The film's theatrical trailer is here thankfully on the disc. Hayekand Cruz work
together as rich banker's daughter and poor farm girl who bicker and fight while robbing banks to stop the crooks that ripped
their lives apart. Rent it.
