A father (Anthony Mackie) survives with his son in a community that is above eight thousand feet. Below 8,000 feet are alien
monsters that one day came out of the ground and wiped out most of humankind. One day, the father must make a perilous journey
below 8,000 feet to an abandoned town hospital to get oxygen for his kid. He is joined by two women and one of them includes
a scientist (Morena Baccarin) who had ventured down below to test a weapon to stop the monsters, but one of the people unfortunate
to follow her was the guy's wife who ended up getting killed.
ELEVATION is a great sci-fi thriller on a low budget and it sets up promise for a sequel if this one makes enough money.
I liked Anthony Mackie while I found Morena Baccarin's character to be a little cold. The only extra is a theatrical trailer.
I do hope for a sequel as ELEVATION sets it up for a bigger dive into the world we get hints and some answers to.
