DEXTER season four starts with Dexter
trying to deal with married life. His life is soon complicated by the appearance
of the Trinity killer which retired FBI agent Lundy (an old adversary) has been tracking.
Trinity starts with a murder in a bathtub followed by an apparent suicide, and then a bludgeoning. Trinity has been doing this for years from city to city. Dexter
finds who Trinity is, but he hesitates and learns about Trinity (in addition to becoming part of Trinity’s seemingly
perfect life as family man). Dexter wonders if he can balance family life,
his job at Miami-Dade Homicide, and his “Dark Passenger”. Meanwhile
his adopted sister Deb (a homicide detective) starts digging into their dad’s past and she finds out something about
Dexter’s past.
DEXTER season 4 keeps going strong from
the previous seasons. John Lithgow is scary as Trinity. You see Dexter become more complex with his emotions as he tries to fit in since he has a son and
step children. His decisions this season will have repercussions into next
season. Dexter makes mistakes this season which means he is human as the
people he works with. Everyone that Dexter works with make mistakes that
pay off with consequences during this season. Sometimes even delaying your
choices have their consequences. I love how season 4 flowed and I can’t
wait to see what the writers will do with season 5.
SPECIAL FEATURES:
Bonus episodes of SHOWTIME series- CALIFORNICATION
Season 3 episodes 1 & 2, LOCK ‘N LOAD episode 1, THE TUDORS Season 4 episode 1
I wish Showtime would include audio commentaries
and interviews on the sets. The (once again) links to interviews on the internet
is very lame. The only actual related to the show extra is a photo gallery.
FINAL ANALYSIS: DEXTER season 4 shows everyone including Dexter makes mistakes and they pay for those choices they make. I can’t wait to see how this continues to play out in season 5. Hopefully, the next set will have actually extras (besides a photo gallery) that relate to the show besides
bonus episodes for other Showtime shows.
