LAW ABIDING CITIZEN is high production
value thriller. It revolves around the choices one man makes and how it affects
another man who decides to use those choices against the first man. The
pacing keeps the viewer glued from start to finish. It makes you think about
the choices you make. It isn’t about a lesson. When you get to the bottom of it, LAW ABIDING CITIZEN is an entertaining thriller.
Gerard Butler is Clyde Shelton, a
man who feels the justice system has let him down and he is set to bring it down since attorney Nick Rice (Jamie Foxx) made
a plea deal with the man who killed Clyde’s
wife and daughter. Rice has Nick brought in and put in prison after Clyde
kills the two men responsible for his wife and kid’s murders. Nick
has Clyde arrested and put in prison. Clyde
starts making demands and the consequences get harsher as Nick fails to agree to the terms.
Clyde is a brain- a thinker. He plans ahead as
Nick tries to outmaneuver Clyde.
LAW ABIDING CITIZEN is full of good actors
and great cinematography while using Philadelphia as another character. Even though I guessed right what Clyde was planning, I enjoyed watching this
film.
