THE 4400 continues to be an interesting drama. The third season starts with a few surprises and sets up possibilities for
storylines during season 3. Since the end of season 2, Isabelle is now all grown up, but her sudden rapid aging has a dramatic
effect on her mother Lily. Can she do something about it to change it? Meanwhile, a radical 4400 group called the Nova Group
has sent T.J. Kim (last seen in season 2 turning the NTAC agents against each other) to make an attempt of
Dennis Ryland's (Peter Coyote) life. Tom and Diane rush into action to find and stop the Nova Group as they have something
bigger planned. Also the inhibitor drug that Rylan tried to use on the 4400 has caused the 4400 to develop their powers since
coming off the inhibitor. Plus the 4400 don't see NTAC as friends anymore and it makes NTAC's job more difficult. The advisor
to Shawn at The 4400 Center is still a scumbag and he knows about the reappearance of you-know-who from the season 2 finale.
It is made clear where he stands in this episode. He also plays tough love with Isabelle while Shawn does start to connect
with her. The episode starts at two points of time (right where season 2 left off and three weeks after that).
If the start of the third season is any indication, season 3 of THE 4400 will be better than season 2. Alana and Dr. Burkhart
are regular characters for this season. It will be interesting to see where the writers will take the show and I hope some
questions will be answered while providing some things to think about when it comes to the 4400 (can they really be called
that now since some of them did die in the season 2 finale?). I hope they shed more light on the future the 4400 people were
taken to. I see the two NTAC female regulars got some hairstyling sicne the second season. Also it is interesting to see the
differing methods of the NSA and NTAC when it comes to interrogating a 4400. I can't wait for the new season to start.
PRESS KIT: The design is OK, but it is disappointing compared to the nice design and look for the season one and two press
kits. It's bland. 17 pages of info on the third season and cast/production bios are included.
SCREENER DISC: The season 3 premiere is in 1.33:1 (Full Frame) with chapter breaks. The screener shows a work in progress
where some special effects and sound effects aren't final or done.
FINAL ANALYSIS: THE 4400 continues to be a great draam about people trying to deal with their interrupted lives and how
people react to it.
