The third volume of THE ADDAMS FAMILY includes the final 21 episodes of the series before it was cancelled after the end of
season 2. The 21 would focus majorly on Gomez, Morticia, and Uncle Fester while giving three episodes with plots involving
Ophelia and a couple of Lurch episodes. The two seasons of this great coomedy should have went on longer. THE ADDAMS FAMILY
would later spawn two shortlived animated series (1973 and 1992) two theatrical movies and a TV series called The New Addams
Family in 1998 (which lasted for two seasons). Still the original TV series is the classic that tops all later versions.
SPECIAL FEATURES:
No featurettes are included in this final volume. Scene Scene Commentary by Thing and Cousin Itt for MORTICIA'S DILEMMA,
OPHELIA FINDS ROMANCE, and LURCH'S LITTLE HELPER are here. They are skippable. Tombstone Trivia is an option for CAT ADDAMS
while Stephen Cox's audio commentary for "MORTICIA, THE DECORATOR" is a little better than the other audio commentaries he
did for previous volumes. He talk about the sets, set pieces, and gives some info on the cast and crew involved.
FINAL ANLYSIS; THE ADDAMS FAMILY Volume 3 will be must for any fan who wants to complete their collection on DVD of the TV
series. Anyone else should give the series a try on DVD if they haven't watched this comedy gem yet (or for a while).
