VAMPIRES SUCK is a funny spoof of the first two TWILIGHT films (TWILIGHT and NEW MOON). It has many stupid moments
in a funny kind of way and yet I enjoyed the way it took jabs at the TWILIGHT films and pop culture.
The actors nail the characters they spoof and I wish they could have spoofed ECLIPSE too (even though they make the reference
to one character being recast and spoil part of BREAKING DAWN for those who haven't read the books as they wait for the final
films). The spoof team manage to compress the two films into a very entertaining 80 minutes as the two films aren't
that hard to make fun of (even though I do enjoy the TWILIGHT films so far) and get the right actors who sometime are dead
ringer for the characters they spoof.
VAMPIRES SUCK follows the celibate romance of Edward Sullen (the constipated looking vampire) and Becca Crane (who the
actress nails the acting of Kristen Stewart's character) in the town of Sporks who has too many obvious signs that something
is wrong and the town has vampires. Jacob, the werewolf who loves Becca too, is part of a pack of gay werewolves.
Becca's best friend has some very funny moments while VAMPIRES SUCK makes fun of the whole vampires sparkle in sunlight thing.
Edward feels torn about loving Becca and the scene in Becca's bedroom when she wants to hump Edward is one of the best moments
in this film (with her flashing underwear.) Also the little moments that pop up like the evil vampire pack being referred
to as the Black Eyed Peas, Becca's BFF flicking out a switchblade, and the climax that combines the prom with the climax
from NEW MOON (that shows a fight between Team Edward and team Jacob). I really hope they have another spoof making
fun of ECLIPSE and BREAKING DAWN. I really freaking enjoyed this one.
