The second half of the third season to VOYAGE TO THE BOTTOM OF THE
SEA recycled old plot ideas more and more whether it was an alien menace or one of the crew being controlled (or brainwashed)
like Crane or Nelson. The episodes are enjoyable still, but the writing continues to get worse.
SPECIAL FEATURES: On side B of Disc 3 are three more interviews
with David Hedison as he talks about explosions on set, when he got angry at Irwin and made them rewrite a bad script, and
Richard Basehart's problems during the making of the series (from his drinking and problems with a TV production schedule).
Also are three brief still galleries (episodic photos, publicity photos,
and Merchandise) and a five minute audio interview with Richard Basehart from 1966.
FINAL ANALYSIS: The best episodes look to be in the past
of VOYAGE TO THE BOTTOM OF THE SEA as the third season shows more recycling.
